PERSONAL

Born and raised in San Francisco, California, Alan has been busy trying to fulfill the American dream. His current employment is in the heart of Silicon Valley while he attends graduate school at San Jose State University. He enjoys numerous outdoor activities ranging from surfing, mountain biking, caving, hiking, motorcycling, and exploring. His hobbies include movie making, DIY, Linux servers, and small business startups. These activities have both identified and signified his persona cumulating into who he is today.

There is rarely a silent moment with him as he spends much of his time either working on a movie script, filming his next scene, motorcycling across the Santa Cruz mountains, putting together a circuit board, or simply under his car chatting on the phone while unscrewing and adjusting his sway bar.

With a BS in electrical engineering, Alan enjoys making and developing gadgets that are useful and fun. His life constantly revolves around innovation and welcomes anyone who has a keen eye and taste for new ideas and inventions.

RIDE

Alan purchased his 2001 LS at Stevens Creek. His car was the second to last Integra that would be sold there in order to make room for the new RSX. The initial criterion he used in deciding which car to buy was that it must get good gas mileage and take regular unleaded fuel. The second and final condition was that it must be a hatchback.

Because his father owned the original first generation Acura Integra back when he grew up, the decision to return to Acura was easy. After his purchase, he, along with his friends, began the painstaking process of modification and personalization.

He grew to love the car when he sat shot-gun after lending the vehicle to his friend who attended Skip Barber Racing School. Not realizing the amazing potential of the car before, Alan began his journey into improving his driving ability in order to fully appreciate the car's potential. Since then, he has never looked back and refuses to sell the car due to its practicality, versatility, and supreme handling.
