PERSONAL

Born and raised in Oakland, California, Greg spends his days working for an automotive consulting and engineering firm specializing in accident reconstruction (think CSI for car accidents). He spends his nights grubbing out, playing poker, gaming, partying, drinking, and getting ignorant in general. Weekends he can be found on the basketball court, laying on the floor of his garage under his car, or with a buffer in hand trying to eliminate every imperfection in its paint.

Even though he has a BS in mechnical engineering, Greg still knows his way around a computer (and his car's electrical system). In fact, he designed this very website. He switched from computer engineering his sophomore year in college in order to work with cars.

You can find Greg at the local Zachary's in Oakland, or at Fenton's Ice Creamery "training" for this summer's food challenge: finishing the Arc of Ice Cream (two generous scoops of every flavor) with J.C. and the other Disciples.

RIDE

Greg got his first Integra, a 1992 RS, in the fall of 2001. It was handed down to him by his father, the original owner. He never modified it, but grew to love its tight handling, light weight, and versatility. When an absent-minded motorist merged into his Integra in 2004, it was time for a new car - this time a 1999 GSR.

Since purchasing the car Greg has expanded his knowledge about Integras, mainly through team-integra.net, where he met the other Domokun members. His mods focus primarily on suspension and handling with less emphasis on appearance or power, although he opted to swap out the USDM front end in favor of the more rectangular JDM front, partially in tribute to his original G2 Integra.

The alias MirrorTint originates from the mysterious mirror tint that was present on his GSR when he bought it. So far, Greg has not been able to find this exact tint; the transparency is somewhere between 35% and 20% but no one is exactly sure. Also, the tint has some "regular" tint-like qualities in addition to its mirror qualities, resulting in windows that are almost impossible to see into.

The nickname of the car itself, Black Pearl II, is in reference to both the color of the car (Flamenco Black Pearl) and to the ship in the Pirates of the Caribbean movie series, which was hailed as "the fastest ship on the seas." Black Pearl I was the nickname of his 1992 Integra.
