PERSONAL

Originally from the North Bay, Max was bitten by the import-bug at the young age of 16 years. Finding very little of the import scene in his hometown, he reached out onto the internet and found his home on Team-Integra.net. For the following two years he owned two Integras and poured every dime he earned into fixing them up. Max also became very involved with the Integra community and started organizing meets and cruises frequently.

When he turned 18 he moved to the South Bay, and shortly after the move his 1995 Integra GS-R was stolen from his apartment complex in Sunnyvale and found stripped in Campbell just 6 hours later. No longer able to afford the high-cost of the import scene, he decided to buy a 1992 Acura Legend Coupe instead of another Integra.

Although he no longer owns an Integra, Max still tries to stay involved with the community that helped feed his desire for tastefully modified imports. These days he's focused on doing well in school, saving up for a motorcycle, and considering a career in photography.

RIDE

Max's first car was a Gunmetal Gray 1994 Integra RS. This car was a "learner" car, as it went through many stages of modification as Max struggled to find his style as a car enthusiast. After several thousands of dollars, Max decided he wanted a manual transmission and a better engine and sold the car for less than he originally paid for it.

After waiting on craigslist for three months, Max finally found his dream car, a Black 1995 Integra GS-R for $3,500, which was a bargain at the time. Much more focused as an enthusiast this time around, Max had all of his modifications planned out and lined up. After repainting much of the car, he added a carbon fiber hood, exhaust, wheels, and other goodies. He was $200 away from buying a set of coilovers when the GS-R was stolen and stripped.

After milking $5,000 out of his insurance company, Max decided to quit the Integra scene, but he didn't leave the Honda family altogether. He bought an extremely rare Pearl White 1992 Acura Legend 5-Speed Coupe. Acura only made 2,600 Pearl White coupes in 1992, and the majority were automatic transmissions. The Legend comes equipped with full-leather interior, heated front seats, premium sound system, and rear windows that roll down. (How many coupes do you know of have rear windows that roll down?) After being rear-ended in late 2006, Max had the whole car repainted original Pearl White, so now it really shines. He has plans to modify it in the future, but for now he has to wait until he can afford it.
